Lee Hartley
Founder & CEO
With 20+ years experience within financial technology services, Lee founded OnePay with the mission of enabling everyone, everywhere, to send and receive digital payments.
Lee is a tech and financial services entrepreneur, starting his first business to support recruiters & labour providers in Management Accountancy & Digital Transformation.
He founded OnePay in 2007 and has been the driving force of the Group’s focus on ethical inclusion, technological enhancements, customer care, sustainability and profitability for over 17 years.
Passionate and client-focused, Lee has achieved a reputation for ensuring the effective adoption of outcome-based repeatable solutions to increase customer loyalty and revenue growth, serving over 750,000 individuals who would otherwise be financially excluded. Working at OnePay since 2019, Melanie has extensive experience of managing and leading Operations within the financial services industry.
Committed to delivering a 5-star level of service to every customer and affiliate, Melanie is adept at identifying and executing on opportunities to enhance and evolve the product and services that OnePay provide.
Melanie is committed to delivering fair and good outcomes to all of our customers, ensuring that we continue to be the helping hand for those people that are underserved and often not catered for in traditional banking.
In leading our business, Melanie takes great pride in providing support, inclusive communication, and strategic planning for our multi-lingual customer care and operations teams.

Peter has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession, specialising in commercial dispute resolution. He has been working with OnePay since its inception and has played a key role in developing the company’s regulatory, compliance and risk function.
Peter’s extensive experience in risk assessment ensures that OnePay adheres to the highest standards and best practices. His contributions have been instrumental in building a strong foundation for OnePay’s continued success.Pam Atherton

Pam has over 25 years of experience in strategic HR and people development. Joining OnePay in 2015, she boasts a proven track record working across both public and private sectors in both SMEs and large businesses.
Pam specialises in implementing HR and people strategies, leading organisational change and change management initiatives. She has a strong strategic focus on fostering an inclusive employee experience, championing people and culture initiatives that create positive and productive work environment.David Thorrington
CTO (interim)
David has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, specialising in IT transformation projects. His career began at Abbey National within IT Risk and Support, providing a strong foundation in IT security and best practises.
David leveraged his expertise in telephony routing management for five years, working with industry-leading platforms like Avaya, Aspect, Verint and BT before working as a Systems Analysis Consultant.
David’s diverse skillset and extensive experience make him a valuable asset to the OnePay team.Neil Harris

Working with OnePay for over 10 years, and with +22 years of experience in the payments industry, Neil’s key focus has been on driving positive change within the payments industry, initiating collaboration between influential peers & policy makers to support financial inclusion initiatives and building customer success by delivering added value through his extensive knowledge of the payment space and emerging technologies.
Neil is highly recognised by his peers for his contribution to the industry. He is the Chair of the UK’s largest trade association’s Advisory Board dedicated to fintech & payments, “The Payments Association” and sits on the Advisory Board of Pay.UK. In 2020, he was recognised for his contributions to the industry as the Industry Contributor of the year at the prestigious Pay360 Awards; was awarded the Payments Pioneer Award by the Payments Awards and in 2021, Neil was awarded The Paytech Leadership Award.“Passionate about innovation & collaboration that levels the playing field, enables financial inclusion, and drives positive societal change”
